This guide will help you understand how to apply for the New Worlds Scholarship Accounts program and use it for tutoring services at Villa Preparatory Academy.
Step-by-Step Application Guide

Complete our sign-up form to be notified when 2025-26 New Worlds Scholarship applications open. We'll keep you informed about important dates and deadlines.

We'll help you determine if your child is eligible for the New Worlds Scholarship based on their academic performance in reading or math. This includes:
VPK students not making age-appropriate progress
K-5 students with reading or math deficiencies
Students who scored below Level 3 on standardized assessments
Students exhibiting characteristics of dyslexia or dyscalculia

When applications open (typically in summer), we'll guide you through the application process with Step Up For Students:
Create an account on the Step Up For Students website
Complete the New Worlds Scholarship application
Submit required documentation (we'll help you gather these)
Wait for application review and approval

Once approved, Step Up For Students will notify you when ESA funds are available. You'll then:
Log into the Education Market Assistant (EMA) portal
Find Villa Preparatory Academy as a pre-approved provider
Allocate your scholarship funds for tutoring services

Once your funds are allocated, we'll work with you to:
Assess your child's current reading and/or math skills
Develop a personalized tutoring plan
Schedule regular tutoring sessions
Provide ongoing progress updates
